Joonhwan Yi
Joonhwan Yi is the inventor of the fundamental technology used by Baum. Prior to Baum, he led an electronic system level (ESL) design group at Samsung Electronics where he architected systems-on-chip (SoCs) using fast simulation technologies for mobile SoCs. Other roles included discovering new electronic design automation (EDA) technologies to enhance design productivity. By regularly meeting EDA professionals worldwide, he became knowledgeable on EDA technology trends. Joonhwan received Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, MI, USA. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.

Youngsoo Shin
Youngsoo Shin has more than 20 years of experience in low-power research and design. He was recognized as an IEEE Fellow for contributions to design tools for low-power VLSI circuits and systems. From 2001 to 2004, Youngsoo worked at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center as a Research Staff Member focused on early analysis tools for system-on-chip (SoC) design, mask reuse methodology, power gating, and voltage-island implementation. Since 2004, he conducts on-going low-power research as a Professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in the School of Electrical Engineering. His main research topics include high-level power modeling, design for manufacturability (DFM), lithography optimization and physical design. Youngsoo received Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and PhD degrees from Seoul National University in Korea.
