Customer Excellence Engineer, Seoul, Korea
As a CE engineer at Baum, you will play a critical role in ensuring customers achieve maximum value from Baum’s next-generation EDA solutions, including agentic-AI design methodologies. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role that bridges product engineering and real-world deployment.
You will work directly with customers to solve complex low-power design challenges, develop and deploy scalable design methodologies, and translate real-world engineering needs into product and workflow improvement. You will also explore how automation, AI, and agentic EDA can transform traditional analysis and optimization workflow.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Developing and executing internal validation and testing strategies to ensure product robustness, scalability, and customer readiness.
- Automating EDA workflows, data analysis, and engineering tasks using Python, Tcl, and AI tools.
- Building AI-assisted and agentic workflows that combine EDA tools, design data, and engineering knowledge to automate analysis, debugging, and optimization tasks.
- Working closely with customers to integrate Baum’s technologies into existing RTL, simulation, emulation, and sign-off environments.
- Collaborating closely with Baum’s R&D team to translate customer feedback, workflow requirements, and emerging use cases into product improvements and new capabilities.
- Contributing to next-generation EDA methodologies that combine domain expertise, automation, and AI to make semiconductor design workflows more efficient and intelligent.
Senior R&D Engineer, Seoul, Korea
As a senior R&D engineer at Baum, you will develop high-performance EDA software to solve complex and challenging customer problems, enabling more power-efficient silicon for the AI and digital era.
You will work on the core technologies behind Baum’s EDA products, developing scalable algorithms and software infrastructure for power analysis, design optimization, and AI-assisted design workflows. This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, deep problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate challenging VLSI problems into robust, production-quality software.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) :
- Designing and implementing high-performance C++ software with a strong focus on runtime, memory efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Developing algorithms and data structures for large-scale EDA problems involving RTL, netlists, timing, power, and waveform data.
- Diagnosing and debugging complex software behaviors, performance bottlenecks, and large-scale design issues.
- Designing scalable software architectures that support automation, AI-assisted analysis, and agentic EDA workflows.
- Collaborating closely with other R&D engineers and customer engineering teams to turn real-world design challenges into product capabilities.
